Assembler/Packager - 8057

Candidate must have basic math skills, and the ability to operate small air/hand tools, read tape measures, and read and interpret work instructions. Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly; 50 pounds occasionally and additional weight with assistance is required. Knowledge of Kanban processes for inventory accuracy and the ability to use a computer is desired. High school diploma or general education (GED) and some degree of skill and assembling technique preferred. This position is responsible for performing a variety of assembly operations to assemble small and medium sized precision units and/or larger units involving less precision and parts. This includes bench assembly line work where methods applied are generally standardized; fitting and aligning to ensure free action of movable parts and operating requirements; using assembly fixtures and power type bench tools; recognizing defective parts; and inspecting and testing final assemblies.
