Production Welder 2nd Shift - 8074
Candidates must have 6 months’ welding experience or equivalent education, and the ability to read and interpret AWS welding symbols from blueprints and read measuring tools (tape measure, square, dial calipers). Knowledge of the set up and operation of welding machines, and the ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders and lift up to 30 pounds regularly and lift 50 to 70 pounds, with assistance, occasionally is required. Excellent communication and basic math skills are required. This position is responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding on a diversified line of standard weldments using American Welding Society welding symbols. This includes setting-up, fitting and positioning weldments having a number of parts, using welding fixtures and jigs where applicable. This job requires the repetitive use of a MIG welding gun. A weld test will be administered to qualified applicants.
